help deliver food to homebound neighbors in need
Volunteers are an essential ingredient to FeedMore WNY’s ability to provide access to nutritious food to our neighbors in need. From packaging food to delivering freshly-made home-delivered meals, individual and group volunteers make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
Meal delivery volunteers are needed Monday through Friday at various locations throughout Erie and Niagara counties. Volunteers deliver much-needed nutrition and friendly conversation to up to 12 clients during the lunch hour. Volunteers can work as little or as much as they like – working every day, once a week or even once a month. Delivering meals to neighbors in need is very rewarding. In fact, many of our volunteers say that they get more out of it than the clients themselves!
In the winter months, however, many of the volunteers for our Home Delivered Meals program head south. To fill those spots, we’re looking for people who don’t mind driving in the snow or wintry conditions to pick up a meal delivery route from December – March.
If you’re one of those people, register online to become a FeedMore WNY volunteer and start delivering meals to neighbors in need.
