Your generosity changes children’s lives

At the Belle Center in Buffalo, children can make friends in after-school programs, play sports and learn something new in summer camp.

“It’s a place where kids can be kids,” administrative officer Clavon Herr says, “and not worry about hunger.”

Thanks to a partnership with FeedMore WNY and donors like you, the Belle Center operates a food pantry and backpack program that regularly serves over 180 children. For many families, this support is a lifeline.

“[The biggest benefit is] seeing the kids’ faces and knowing they’re eating and getting something in their tummies,” Clavon says.

The impact, she adds, “can be seen every day in the focus and energy of the children who come in for camps and after-school services.”

With the fuel needed to thrive, children can not only keep up with peers and grow up strong, but they can also enjoy their childhood — a time meant for joy and discovery, not hunger.
