3 Ways to Help Your Neighbors During Fight Hunger. Spark Change.
The rising cost of living, continued supply chain disruptions and the end of pandemic-related emergency support programs continue to make Western New Yorkers more at risk of food insecurity.
While FeedMore WNY works tirelessly to provide nutritious food and support to vulnerable children, families, older adults and veterans throughout Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties, we cannot fulfill our mission without the help of dedicated partners. Walmart and Sam’s Club are two such partners who are committed to alleviating hunger throughout our community.
For the 10th straight year, all U.S. Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs are holding their “Fight Hunger. Spark Change.” campaign, helping to reduce food insecurity and provide nourishment to people across the country. Throughout the years, this campaign has helped provide more than $353,500 to FeedMore WNY – allowing us to distribute more healthy meals and continue our programs and services that tackle hunger at its root.
Now through May 8, you can support this campaign and our neighbors in need through three easy ways:
· For every participating product purchased in store, in club or online at Walmart.com or SamsClub.com SamsClub.com, the supplier will donate the monetary equivalent of at least one meal on behalf of a Feeding America member food bank at Walmart and five meals at Sam’s Club, up to applicable limits. See specially marked packages for full details.
· Donate at check-out in stores or clubs or round up at Walmart.com
· Donate at Feeding America’s Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign donation site at either FeedingAmerica.org/Walmart or FeedingAmerica.org/SamsClub.
