Changes coming to Double Up Food Bucks NY program

The Double Up Food Bucks NY program is changing to make it easier for SNAP shoppers to save on fresh, local fruits and vegetables. Customers of FeedMore WNY’s Farm Market will be affected by these changes.

Starting on October 1, the Farm Market will offer an automatic 50% discount on eligible produce purchases made with SNAP — no sign-ups or Double Up cards required.

What’s changing?

– No more Double Up Loyalty Cards: SNAP shoppers will automatically receive 50% off (up to $20 a day) on eligible fruits and vegetables at checkout.

– Instant Savings: When buying produce with your SNAP card, the discount will be applied instantly.

When is it changing?

– If you have a Double Up Food Bucks card with a balance, please use it by September 30, 2024, as the cards will no longer be accepted at Farm Market trucks after this date.

– Beginning October 1, 2024, the 50% automatic discount will begin on SNAP eligible produce purchases.

If you are unable to spend down your balance before September 30, we encourage you to spend the remaining balance at other locations who will still be accepting the Double Up Food Bucks cards.
